Manage booking disruptions
Users will now be alerted of disrupted bookings via the ACB My Booking and Manage Booking pages. Affected travellers will be able to accept or modify changes to their booking by clicking on the booking link to be directed to the Air Canada re-accommodation page. An email notification with the link will also be sent.
Add a Traveller’s Frequent Flyer Number
Air Canada for Business members can now add a frequent flyer number to an existing booking.
Once a booking is complete, members will now see a new servicing option titled ‘Update Frequent Flyer Numbers’. Within this section, they can quickly and easily select a program and enter a frequent flyer number for each traveller.
Added security with 3DS
Air Canada for Business has introduced 3DS – a new anti-fraud messaging protocol that allows customers to authenticate themselves with the issuer of their payment card when making purchases online. At the time of purchase, the card issuer can ask for additional authentication based on a PIN, security question, one-time code sent via SMS, or one-time password generated by an electronic device.
ACB direct consumer accounts that provide a new card during the booking flow will be subject to 3DS validation. However, purchases made using a stored credit card that has already been validated will not. Accounts managed by an agency are exempt from 3DS validation, even on bookings made by corporate members.
To prepare for this rollout, ACB members are invited to add their payment options to corporate and individual profiles to facilitate payment processing when 3DS validation can apply, thus avoiding this validation within the booking process.
Whether that payment option is assigned to a specific traveller or not, stored corporate payment access will also be available within the booking flow as follows:
- Program Administrators will be able to select a payment option stored at the account level
- Division Administrators will be able to select a payment option stored/assigned at the division level
- Travel Arrangers will be able to select a payment option assigned to them or saved under their traveller profile
Expanded TSA gender options
- Travellers who do not identify as Male or Female can now select “Other” as a gender option in their profile and on the Passenger page while booking.
Canadian Traveller Number (CTN)
- Add your CTN number to your profile and it will automatically populate while booking or enter it manually on the Passenger page while booking.
