Child discount not taken at time of ticketing

If a ticket was purchased at the adult fare when a child discount should have applied for accompanied children aged 2 to 11 at the time of departure, you can request a deferred fare adjustment from Refund Services once the trip is completed.

Request the adjustment via the Ticket Refund Application and select:

  • Regarding Travel Agent requesting assistance and Issue To correct a refund processed incorrectly by our agency
  • In Additional information please state: 
    • Agency error, adult ticket issued instead of child ticket
    • Please process a fare adjustment
    • We understand, the agency will receive a debit memo error fee of $50 CA/US plus applicable tax once the refund is processed.
  • In Add a picture of document, whenever possible please attach a screen shot of the child fare.  

Air Canada reserves the right to request children’s proof of age.
