Name Change Policy for Corporate

This policy applies exclusively to Air Canada corporate contracted tickets, to Air Canada for Business (ACB) and Canadian based Small and Medium Business (SMB) program.

Eligibility

  • All points of sale, except for SMB as currently only available in Canada
  • Fully unused 014 tickets issued with a Corporate Contract number or an Air Canada for Business (ACB or SMB) PN number entered in the Tour Code box of the ticket 
  • Original tickets may include flights marketed and operated by Air Canada and other airlines flights.
  • Exchanged tickets for the new passenger must only include flights marketed and operated by Air Canada1
  • Tickets must be exchanged within ticket validity
  • The tour code entered in the tour code box of original and new ticket must be assigned to the same Corporation/ACB/or SMB account. 

Process for New PNR and Ticket Exchange

Facilitated via the GDS of the corporation’s ticketing agency of record. For direct channel bookings, including ACB and SMB tickets, please contact the Customer Contact Centres.

  • Original PNR must be cancelled
  • Create a new PNR with new traveller’s name
  • Issue the new ticket as follows:
    1. Issue the new ticket in exchange of the original ticket at applicable fare
      When base fare is higher:  additional collection, change fee and name change fee apply
      When base fare is the same: name change fee apply
    2. Tour code box of the new ticket must include the original Corporate or ACB/SMB contract number
    3. Endorsement box of the new ticket must include waiver code CORPNCHNG

Comfort, Latitude, Premium Economy flexible, and Business Class flexible Please refund as those fares are refundable. They are only eligible for this policy when combined with non-ref Standard, Flex, Premium Economy lowest and Business lowest.

 

Not applicable to:

  • Basic fares and Flight Passes
  • Partially used, expired tickets
  • Other airlines tickets
  • Name changes done at the airport

Information iconPrevent the issuance of a Debit Memo for the full fare value by entering CORPNCHNG in the endorsement box of the ticket, and by adhering to all rules of this policy. No exceptions will apply.


Procedure for extending ticket validity when a name change is also required

  1. The new outbound travel date must be within 3 months of the original ticket expiry date.
  2. Within 60 days of original ticket expiry, book a new PNR (new date, new name) following above process and collecting applicable fees.
  3. Once that is done, contact the Customer Contact Centres to pay the ticket extension fee of $50 CA/US (TVEF).
