Intermodal connections must be booked when connecting to/from an Air Canada marketed and operated international flight and ticketed on a single 014 ticket. All other segments on the ticket must be marketed and operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge and Air Canada Express.

Rail operators in Austria, France, Italy, Spain, South Korea, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom (including National Express bus service) are contracted by AccesRailExternal site which may not meet accessibility guidelines and/or language preferences., an IATA technology provider which makes it possible to book intermodal transportation in the GDS using carrier code 9B.

Intermodal travel can be booked from all points of sale, in your GDS, at aircanada.com/agents and AC Contact Centres, when connecting to/from Air Canada marketed and operated international flights.

We intend to include intermodal connections via NDC. Once the evaluation is completed, we can provide more information and a timeline.

Intermodal services are offered to published fares between Europe and Canada, the United States, Central America, Mexico and Panama.

Basic fares, corporate and leisure contracted fares are excluded.

Infants under the age of 2 years do not require a train ticket.

Refund eligibility is per the Air Canada fare rules.

Aeroplan members can earn points for LH Express Rail connecting segments.
Aeroplan points cannot be redeemed for intermodal services.

Yes.

Yes, provided that the intermodal segment is sold as an AC flight number. Tickets that include an intermodal segment sold as a 9B flight number are not eligible for AC Wallet.

Yes, as per current Time of Ticketing instructions.

Yes. Special assistance, such as wheelchair, service animals, bikes, sports equipment and PETC is offered.  However, please note that special assistance offered with Air Canada does not continue beyond the airport.

You must add the applicable SSR to the PNR: 
BLND, DEAF, WCMP, WCHR, WCHS, WCHC, WCLB, WCBD, WCBW.

Once the SSR is KK/HK, you must contact the Air Canada Accessible Travel Desk  
An agent will complete a medical form required by SNCF.

Customers requiring WCHC, WCLB, WCBD, WCBW must be seated in a dedicated section.
If seating in the dedicated section is not available, UN will be returned.  Please follow the Schedule Change or Flight Disruption Policy to rebook and reissue the ticket.

Customer must contact Air Canada Contact Centres who will rebook and reissue the Air Canada flight according to the Air Canada Flight Disruption Policy.
