The following policies have established waiver codes. However, you are still required to consult the applicable policy before processing a refund or an exchange.
Tickets refunded or exchanged outside of the Air Canada policy without the applicable waiver code in the GDS Refund Waiver Code field or for exchanges, in the ticket endorsement box will be processed per fare rule and a Debit Memo will be issued.

Duplicate Ticket Refund

Flight Disruption

Jury/Military Duty and Subpoenas
Refund waiver code CAL2DUTY + Month Year (e.g. CAL2DUTY0725)
Name Correction
Refund waiver code NCC + last 10 digits of the new ticket that will be used to travel (e.g. NCC1234567890)
Refund and Exchange due Death
Refund and exchange waiver code DUEDEATH + 4-letter code identifying the deceased. See Good to Know.
Schedule Change
Refund and exchange waiver code SKCH, ACCESS or REGRADE + affected flight number (e.g. SKCH1840)
Good to Know:
- If the refund waiver code does not fit in the GDS Refund Waiver field, you must add an OSI or Remark field beforerefunding the ticket. g.: AC66 delay of 4 hours
- 4-letter codes for Refund and Exchange due Death: PSGR, SPOU, HUSB, WIFE, FTHR, MTHR, SIST, BROT, GMTH, GFTH, CHLD, GCHL, COMP.
