More information

If you are a current Aeroplan Credit Cardholder, your bank will reach out to you with more details.

As an existing cardholder, you are probably excited to learn more about the new Air Canada travel benefits coming to your card. Your bank will be sending you detailed information shortly that will outline what benefits will apply to your card as of November 8.

In the meantime, we encourage you to visit aeroplan.com to ensure your Aeroplan account has your most up-to-date contact information, including your Aeroplan number.

Your new card benefits will automatically be active as of November 8.

For existing cardholders, once the new program launches on November 8, your new card benefits will automatically activate. There is nothing you need to do right now, and you can keep using your card as you do today. Until November 8, the current benefits on your card today remain the same.

To access your Air Canada benefits, simply include your Aeroplan number on your reservation.

Beginning November 8, ensure your Aeroplan number has been added to your reservation to take advantage of your new benefits. Your benefits apply regardless of whether you’ve paid for your flight in cash, or in points.

Secondary Cardholders on your account will be able to enjoy many of the same benefits.

You can link Secondary Cardholders so that they can take advantage of many of the same benefits as the Primary Cardholder, like a free first checked bag. Your bank will send you information shortly detailing what you will need to do to link your card.

Our banking partnerships are continuing.

While some of the benefits on the credit cards are changing, our longstanding and important partnerships with TD, American Express and CIBC will remain in place. If you hold an Aeroplan credit card with one of these partners, they will be sending more information shortly that will outline which level of Aeroplan card benefits – silver, grey, or black – will apply to your card as of November 8.
