It's important to always arrive at the airport well in advance of your flight. This will ensure you have plenty of time to check in, drop off your bags and go through security screening.

How early can I check in?
You can check in for your flight as early as:
- 24 hours before departure when you check in online or on your mobile device.
- 12 hours before departure at one of our self-service check-in kiosks.
How early can I drop off my bags?
You may check your bags at the baggage drop-off counter at the earliest:
- 4 hours prior to departure for flights from Canada or the U.S.
- 2 ½ hours prior to departure for flights from Tokyo-Narita
- 3 hours prior to departure for flights from all other locations.
I have a connecting flight. What should I know about minimum connection times?
For a smooth connection between flights, it's important to give yourself adequate time between your first flight's arrival and your next flight's departure, in order to allow for security checks and any necessary terminal changes. Learn more about minimum connection times.
What else do I need to know?
Check-in/baggage drop-off and boarding gate deadlines are important. Failure to respect these deadlines may result in the reassignment of any reserved seats, the cancellation of reservations, and/or ineligibility for denied boarding compensation.
Codeshare flights: If you are travelling on a codeshare flight, you'll need to familiarize yourself with the other airline's policies on check-in times and procedures.
