The Offer – Overview

¹Aeroplan Elite Status members can unlock a one-time perk of 20 Bonus eUpgrade credits & 15,000 Bonus Status Qualifying Miles (BSQM) by acquiring a new American Express Aeroplan Reserve card and earning 20,000 Aeroplan points through base and category accelerators by July 31, 2024.

To qualify for this offer you must meet all of the following requirements:

1. To qualify for this Offer, you must activate this Offer during the Offer Period by selecting the digital "Register now" button included within the email.
2. To qualify for this Offer, you must apply and be approved for an American Express^®* Aeroplan^® Reserve Card no earlier than April 25, 2024, and no later than July 31, 2024.
3. This Offer is only available to Aeroplan Elite status members who are new American Express^®* Aeroplan^® Reserve Cardmembers.

Eligible Earn that qualified as eligible Aeroplan points for the offer includes base and category accelerator earn of Aeroplan points on your newly approved eligible American Express^®* Aeroplan^® Reserve Card , but excludes all welcome bonus offers that may be available at time of application including but not limited to spend based welcome offers, additional card bonus offers campaign bonuses, or conversion points. Eligible Earn by Supplementary Cardmembers will also count towards the Eligible Earn of the Basic Cardmembers.

Please note that points earned with your eligible American Express^®* Aeroplan^® Reserve Card are deposited to your Aeroplan account a few days after the end of the credit card account billing period. As a result, it is possible that transactions charged to your card during the Offer Period may not qualify based on your billing statement date and will translate into Aeroplan point deposits after the Offer Period and will not count towards this Offer.

If you do not hold an American Express^®* Aeroplan^® Reserve Card, you can be eligible for this Offer if you apply and are approved for one, meet the Eligible Earn by the end of the Offer Period and meet all the other eligibility criteria of this Offer.

Your American Express Aeroplan Reserve Card account and Aeroplan account must be open and in good standing at the time the Offer is fulfilled. If you cancel your American Express Aeroplan Reserve Card following the deposit of the Status Perks, we reserve the right to reverse these perks.

Once you meet the Eligible Earn, please allow up to 8 weeks after the offer end date (July 31, 2024) for your status perks to be credited. 

Eligible Participants will receive a one-time Bonus, per member, of 15,000 Status Qualifying Miles upon meeting the requirements of the offer. SQM helps members reach Aeroplan Elite status. The Bonus SQM credited as part of this Offer will count towards 2024 Early Recognition and Thresholds and 2025 Status qualification.

The following conditions apply to Bonus SQM:

1. They cannot be sold or exchanged;
2. They are non-transferable;
3. They have no cash value;
4. They cannot be converted to cash or refunded if unused;
5. Bonus SQM are not Aeroplan points and cannot be used to redeem Aeroplan rewards; and
6. Bonus SQM do not count towards Million Mile Recognition.

Eligible Participants will receive a one-time Bonus, per member, of 20 eUpgrade credits upon meeting the requirements of the Offer.

1. Bonus eUpgrade credits are valid until January 15, 2026.
2. Bonus eUpgrade credits will be issued on a promotional basis, and thus ineligible for the Premium cobrand card Rollover eUpgrade benefit.

Interest charges, annual fees, other fees, and cash equivalent transactions are not purchases and do not qualify for Aeroplan points. Refunds, rebates, or credits on the account will cancel this Offer if the Eligible Earn are not met during the Offer Period

This Offer is not transferable and is not redeemable for cash.

General Terms & Conditions:

This Aeroplan Offer may be withdrawn or changed without prior notice at any time. This Offer may be revoked if you appear to be manipulating or abusing it, or are engaged in any suspicious or fraudulent activity, as determined by Air Canada or Aeroplan in its sole discretion. ² For every $5,000 in eligible purchases (less any returns, credits and adjustments) charged to the card and posted to the card account, Basic Cardmembers will earn 1,000 Status Qualifying Miles (SQM) and 1 Status Qualifying Segment (SQS) which will be deposited in their Aeroplan member account and appear on the next card account billing statement.

Please allow at least three (3) days after being earned for the SQM and SQS to be added to your Aeroplan account.

SQM and SQS are not redeemable towards Aeroplan rewards and only count toward Aeroplan Elite TM Status qualification.
