Air Canada is undergoing a multi-year transformation of its lounge network, including Maple Leaf Lounges and Air Canada Cafés. You can look forward to us adding, expanding, and renovating locations featuring modern Canadian-inspired designs, additional food and beverage options, and increased seating.

We’ve recently renovated our lounges in London Heathrow, Frankfurt, and Los Angeles. Looking ahead to 2025, we’ll be opening new locations with even more exciting updates to come. Stay tuned!

Changes to eUpgrade Nominee Validity

Starting February 1 of each benefit year, Super Elite Members can submit their eUpgrade Nominee designation. Once nominated, the chosen nominee will remain active until January 31 of the following year. To designate a nominee, simply sign in to your eUpgrade account and provide their name and Aeroplan number.

Final eUpgrade Rollover

As part of the eUpgrade Validity changes announced last year, up to 50 unused eUpgrade credits will be rolled over in 2025 for Aeroplan premium credit cardholders. This one-time rollover will be completed by March 31, 2025, and is applicable to Elite Status members:

• who are the primary holder of a premium Aeroplan credit card;
• whose card is active and in good standing;
• and who acquired their eligible card on or before June 30, 2024.

More rewarding Air Canada Flight Passes

Now you can receive bonus eUpgrade credits and bonus Status Qualifying Miles (SQM) for all Air Canada Flight Pass activity, including on promotional and limited-time Flight Passes. Another change made directly based on member feedback.

The number of bonus eUpgrade credits and bonus SQM varies based on your Elite status at the time of the activity. Eligible Flight Pass activities include:

• The purchase of an eligible Flight Pass of 6, 8, 10, 16 or 20 flight credits (excluding Unlimited Flight Passes and Flight Passes for Business and Flight Passes for Large Corporations)
• The usage of every 10 eligible flight credits in conjunction with a Flight Pass for Business or Flight Pass for Large Corporations
• The duration of the travel period when you purchase an eligible Unlimited Flight Pass, on a monthly basis.

Fast, free Wi-Fi takes off soon. Here’s what it means for your Select Benefits:

Starting in May 2025, we’ll begin rolling out fast, free Wi-Fi across our entire fleet for all Aeroplan members. Flights throughout North and Central America will be first to feature this complimentary service, with long-haul international routes following later in 2026.

Aeroplan 75K and Super Elite Members who select the Aeroplan Elite Worldwide Wi-Fi plan as part of their 2025 Select Benefits will enjoy 12 months of unlimited Wi-Fi access on any Air Canada Wi-Fi equipped aircraft – including international flights.

Reward chart updates with select partners

Starting March 25, we’re making changes to Aeroplan flight rewards with United Airlines, Emirates, Flydubai, Etihad Airways, and Canadian regional partners Calm Air, Canadian North, and PAL Airlines. While the redemption rates under this chart may be higher than our fixed partner award chart and vary from one itinerary to another, these changes will allow us to offer greater availability for reward seats on these airlines than before.

With this change, the Air Canada reward chart will be renamed "Air Canada and select partners," featuring a starting amount and a new median amount for easier navigation and transparency. In addition, Aeroplan Elite members and Aeroplan credit cardholders will receive preferred pricing discounts with these partners.

Introducing the all-new Air Canada for Business

The new Air Canada for Business program is designed to simplify and improve business travel for small and medium-sized businesses. Open to Canadian companies, this program is completely free to join.

Registration is simple – all you need is an Aeroplan membership and a professional business email address.

As a member of our SMB program, you’ll get:

• 1.5x Aeroplan points¹: Travellers in the program rack up points faster with 1.5x the Aeroplan points on every flight flown.
• Cost savings²: Get up to 5% discounts2 on our most flexible fares, ensuring cost-effective travel without sacrificing flexibility.
• Elite status boost³: Companies receive 5,000 bonus Status Qualifying Miles (SQMs) on every $50,000 of travel flown to keep or distribute to their business travellers, enabling a faster way to Aeroplan Elite Status.
