Information Supporting Air Canada Cabin Crew Regarding the Renewal of the Collective Bargaining Agreement

On February 17, 2026, the federal arbitrator issued their decision outlining the new wages for cabin crew. As agreed with CUPE, this resolves the outstanding item of wages and finalizes our new, four-year collective agreement with the union.

The Arbitrator upheld the tentative agreement and Minutes of Settlement, with the exception of the wage rates offered for Rouge, which were increased by 1% on the first year.

The tentative agreement with CUPE along with the Minutes of Settlement were reached on Aug. 19. Minutes of Settlement are a legally binding written agreement that resolves issues in all kinds of disputes, including collective bargaining. Here, for example, Air Canada and CUPE agreed that if the tentative agreement was not ratified by cabin crew, the wage increases would be referred to arbitration.

The one remaining issue addressed at arbitration was wages. All other items of the tentative agreement, such as ground pay, improvements to benefits, pensions and scheduling rules were concluded, and have already been implemented or will soon be. This calculator shows wage and pay levels under the terms of the finalized agreement.

Ground pay

The tentative agreement includes compensation for work you perform on the ground. Effective August 19, 2025, the following ground pay was implemented and will be paid retroactive to that date, as needed.
