U.K. Electronic Travel Authorization required for travel to the UK

Starting February 25, 2026, you may need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to travel to or through the United Kingdom.
You may not need to apply for an ETA if you meet the UK’s requirements.
An ETA does not guarantee entry to the UK, but gives you permission to travel to the UK
Dual citizenship:If you are a British dual national, you cannot apply for an ETA. See what documents you will need to hold to travel to the UK.
To apply:
It is recommended that travellers apply for an eTA online at least three days before departure.
Cost and validity:
The application costs £16 GBP per person. Once approved, the eTA is valid for two years.
