Toronto Pearson and Montréal-Trudeau –
winter conditions

Because of the severe winter weather conditions expected in Toronto and Montréal, we understand that you may want to make alternate travel arrangements.

Travel to, from or connecting through Toronto Pearson

If you currently have a reservation, Air Canada has implemented a policy that makes it possible for you to make voluntary changes to your itinerary if:

  • You purchased an Air Canada ticket no later than January 20, 2026, for travel between January 21 and January 26, 2026.
  • Your itinerary includes a flight to, from or through Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ).

If your itinerary includes a connecting flight at Toronto Pearson between January 21 and January 26, you can also change to a non-stop flight or a flight connecting through a different airport free of charge, within those same travel dates.

If you’re scheduled to travel during the affected period, you can retrieve your booking to change your flight, free of charge, to another date between January 27, 2026, and February 3, 2026, subject to availability in the cabin you originally purchased. Outside of those dates, any fare difference will apply.

Travel to, from or connecting through Montréal-Trudeau

If you currently have a reservation, Air Canada has implemented a policy that makes it possible for you to make voluntary changes to your itinerary if:

  • You purchased an Air Canada ticket no later than January 21, 2026, for travel between January 24, 2026, and January 25, 2026.
  • Your itinerary includes a flight to, from or through Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL).

If you’re scheduled to travel during the affected period, you can retrieve your booking to change your flight, free of charge, to another date between January 22, 2026, and January 23, 2026, subject to availability in the cabin you originally purchased. Outside of those dates, any fare difference will apply.
