Contact Centre booking fee for new reservations
Beginning October 15, 2026, a non-refundable booking fee of CA$30 (plus applicable taxes) per passenger1 will apply to new bookings made by phone with an Air Canada agent through our Contact Centre.
The booking fee will continue to apply for Aeroplan flight reward bookings made through our Contact Centre.

Support when you need it
If you'd still prefer to book by phone, our Contact Centre agents remain available to provide expert guidance and personalized support when you need assistance, including in situations that may require additional care or cannot be completed through our self-service options.Customers who require specialized care and support, including those with accessibility needs, are exempt from the booking fee.
There is also no change to the support available to you, and no booking fee will apply if your trip is affected by a delay, cancellation or other travel disruption. Our agents will continue to assist you and, in many cases, you'll also be able to manage eligible changes through Air Canada's digital self-service tools.

Does the booking fee apply during a travel disruption?
No. If your previously-booked travel is affected by a delay, cancellation or another disruption, there is no change to the support you receive through Air Canada's Contact Centre, and no booking fee will apply.
You can also manage many disruption-related needs through Air Canada's digital self-service options, where you can accept a new flight, change your itinerary or request a refund without needing to call.

I have accessibility requirements. How can I get support?
Customers with accessibility requirements will continue to receive specialized care and support when travelling with Air Canada and are exempt from the booking fee.
Many bookings can still be completed through our website, the Air Canada App or through our Contact Centre. Can I still contact an agent for help with an existing booking?
Yes. Our Contact Centre agents can continue to help with existing reservations, travel disruptions and other questions about your journey.
The booking fee applies only when a new booking is completed through Air Canada's Contact Centre (including Aeroplan). Existing fare rules, including any applicable change or cancellation fees, continue to apply based on the fare purchased.

Is the booking fee refundable if the ticket or booking is cancelled?
No. The Contact Centre booking fee is a non-refundable service fee and will not be refunded if the ticket or booking is cancelled.
Will the booking fee appear as a separate line item on my receipt?
Yes. The booking fee will appear as its own charge. It is not included in the airfare or carrier-imposed charges associated with your ticket.
