Aeroplan Credit Card Everyday Redemption Program Terms and Conditions

The Aeroplan Credit Card Everyday Redemption Program (the “Program”) is open only to Aeroplan members in good standing who are also primary cardholders of a credit card included on the following website (a “Credit Card”) and whose Credit Card account is open, active and in good standing (the "Credit Card Account").  From time to time, we may change the Credit Cards included at https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/aeroplan/credit-cards/pay-with-points.html in our sole discretion and without notice.

This Program will allow Aeroplan members who hold a Credit Card, and who register for the Program, to participate in this Program and accept offers to redeem Aeroplan points from their own Aeroplan account for Credit Card Account statement credits that offset the cost of eligible purchases made using their Credit Card (“Redemption Offers”). The Credit Card Account shall be the account of the Aeroplan member participating in this Program and receiving Redemption Offers, and we reserve the right, at our discretion, to limit the number of your eligible Credit Cards that can participate in the Program.

To participate in this Program, you must register for the Program by linking your Credit Card Account to your Aeroplan account on the following website www.aeroplanpaywithpoints.ca/link-your-card. When doing so, you will have to provide the required consents, including to permit Aeroplan Inc. ("Aeroplan") to send you Redemption Offers through SMS to a valid Canadian phone number as well as process your personal information for purposes of the Program. Redemption Offers may contain additional terms and conditions based on the specific eligible transaction that you will agree to by accepting such Redemption Offers.

Once your Aeroplan account and Credit Card Account are linked, you will then be able to select the spend categories that you would like to qualify for when receiving Redemption Offers. 

The spend categories are dining, drugstore, grocery, and entertainment and may be modified from time to time at our sole discretion. You may change these spend categories at any time by visiting www.aeroplanpaywithpoints.ca/management. Once you select your spend categories, any purchase made using your Credit Card with a value between $25-$250 may generate Redemption Offers, as more fully determined by Aeroplan. The value, frequency, category and any other terms applicable to Redemption Offers are at Aeroplan's sole discretion. Redemption Offers are specific to a purchase made on a Credit Card and valid for 24 hours from the time the SMS message is sent. You must accept Redemption Offers by replying to the SMS message or by accepting at www.aeroplanpaywithpoints.ca/management to receive the statement credit on your Credit Card Account. Once accepted, the redemption of your Aeroplan points is final and cannot be reversed. If a purchase is returned, you will keep the statement credit that resulted from the Redemption Offers in your Credit Card Account. The currency of the statement credit is Canadian dollars.

Only Aeroplan accounts with sufficient Aeroplan points balance will be provided Redemption Offers. Redemptions made by cardholders who are members of a Family Sharing Pool are subject to the terms of the Aeroplan Family Sharing feature.

Once the statement credit is posted to your Credit Card Account, it will reduce your total net purchases (as such term or any similar such term is understood between you and the issuer of your Credit Card) on your next statement cycle. Your Aeroplan points balance will be reduced in accordance with the amount of the statement credit that is posted to your Credit Card Account. 

If you accept Redemption Offers, please allow up to 30 days for the statement credit to be posted to your Credit Card Account statement. If you no longer wish to participate in this Program, you can unlink your accounts at any time by visiting  www.aeroplanpaywithpoints.ca/management. Your Credit Card must remain linked for the statement credit to post to your Credit Card Account.

In the event that an authorized user of a supplementary card linked to the primary cardholder’s Credit Card Account (a “Supplementary Cardholder”) registers for this Program, such Supplementary Cardholder acknowledges that: a) Aeroplan points will be debited from such Supplementary Cardholder’s Aeroplan points balance; and b) any statement credit will be posted to the Credit Card Account of the primary cardholder. The primary cardholder is solely responsible for the actions of a Supplementary Cardholder in respect of the Program.

This Program will be in addition to any other offers available to the Credit Card Account or to Aeroplan members.

This Program is made by Aeroplan and may be changed, withdrawn or extended at any time, without notice, and is nontransferable and is not redeemable for cash.  Statement credits will be issued and applied to your Credit Card Account by Visa.  No financial institution who issues any Credit card will have any responsibility for administering any aspect of this Program.

If this Program is not running as planned for any reason, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, pandemic or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Aeroplan which corrupt or affect the administration, security or proper conduct of this Program, Aeroplan reserves the right at its sole discretion to, without advance notice, terminate or suspend the Program, in whole or in part, or modify it in any way. Aeroplan also reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual from this Program and to ban the individual from any future offers that it finds or believes to be tampering with the process or the operation of this Program.
