Exceptions
You may not be able to claim a PNR for the following reasons:
1. PNR contains itinerary segments or SSR lines with UN/UC/US/NO status codes. Call Air Canada reservations to have them remove these lines.
Claim PNR for Groups
Agencies can only view and claim a group PNR for ticketing purposes provided:
- All names have been entered on the PNR by the Air Canada group desk. Outstanding names (still under the group name) must be divided off the group file by Air Canada reservations before you attempt to claim the PNR.
- The PNR must contain AC space only. Group PNR’s containing OAL space cannot be claimed.
- There must be no UC/UN/UU/PN itinerary segments in the PNR
- Partial seat selection, too many lines of remarks and/or non-AIRIMP elements in the PNR can sometimes prevent your agency from claiming a PNR.
Important Notes:
- Group Claim is meant to assist your travel agency for ticketing purposes only. It is Air Canada’s policy not to provide the agencies with complete control for servicing changes after the claim transaction has taken place.
- Do not change a PNR claimed in Apollo as any changes will result in your PNR being out of sync with the PNR in Air Canada system, thus potentially inconveniencing your passengers.
Air Canada’s policy requires that the AC group desk maintains control of the PNR, including all changes, until ticketing is required by the agency.
