Entry requirements for customers travelling to Canada

April 1, 2022

Fully vaccinated customers no longer need to show proof of a pre-departure COVID-19 test result for air travel to Canada.

Fully vaccinated customers may still be selected for random testing on arrival but are not required to quarantine while awaiting their test result.

All customers (regardless of how long you were away from Canada) will continue to be required to submit their mandatory information on the ArriveCAN app or website.

Are you an unvaccinated Canadian?

Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated Canadians will still be required to provide a rapid antigen test result for travel to Canada. The antigen test must be taken no more than 1 day prior to departure but results can be delivered in as little as 15 minutes.  Visit our Testing Solutions page for more details.

You can also continue to present a negative molecular test result, taken no more than 72 hours prior to departure, or provide proof of a positive molecular test result taken at least 10 and no more than 180 days prior to entry.

You will not be permitted to continue onward domestically by air and will continue to be tested on arrival, on Day 8, and must quarantine for 14 days. Border Services Officers and public health officials will provide direction to each traveller upon entry to Canada.

More information can be found on the Government of Canada's website.
