Understanding our consent requirement

The terms and conditions of the Aeroplan Program require consent to the Aeroplan Privacy Policy as a condition of membership. To continue your unrestricted participation in the Aeroplan Program, you must read and consent to the Aeroplan Privacy Policy by November 8, 2022. If you do not consent by this date, you will no longer have online access to your Aeroplan Account.

Without online access, you will no longer be able to view your Aeroplan Account at aircanada.com or via the Air Canada App, including visiting your Aeroplan Member dashboard. In addition, while you will still be able to earn Aeroplan Points, you will no longer be able to make flight reward redemptions online, and rewards which are available exclusively through our website, such as car rentals, hotel stays, and merchandise, will also no longer be available to you. Flight reward redemptions will remain available, but only through the Aeroplan Contact Centre.

Furthermore, as an Aeroplan Elite Status Member, you will no longer have access to those Air Canada benefits that are only available digitally, such as choosing Select Benefits, accessing one-time Maple Leaf Lounge Guest passes, or requesting eUpgrades at aircanada.com. Other benefits such as Priority Airport Services, remain unaffected.

At any time even after November 8, 2022, you can visit the Aeroplan Member login page to consent to the Aeroplan Privacy Policy. At that time, your digital access to your Aeroplan Account, on aircanada.com and on the Air Canada App, will be immediately restored.

We continue to work to make the Aeroplan Program better for you: a more seamless experience that’s more relevant to your preferences and interests. Our ability to do so requires the sharing of Aeroplan Member data between Air Canada and Aeroplan, as well as select data with certain Aeroplan partners, and for that, we require your consent to the Aeroplan Privacy Policy.
