As an exclusive benefit, Aeroplan Super Elite Members can designate one eUpgrade nominee and request upgrades on their behalf, even when they are not travelling together.

How eUpgrade nominees work

If you’re an Aeroplan Super Elite Member, you can use your eUpgrade credits to request an upgrade for a friend or family member. Simply designate them as an eUpgrade nominee:

Super Elite members can designate only one eUpgrade nominee per year.

Nominees must be Aeroplan Members.

An Aeroplan Member, regardless of their Elite Status, can only be identified as an eUpgrade nominee by one Super Elite Member.

Requesting upgrades for eUpgrade nominees

You can request an eUpgrade for your nominee through your eUpgrade account online, or by contacting Air Canada Reservations. Just make sure you are within your applicable clearance window for requesting an upgrade, and that your nominee has included their Aeroplan number on their reservation.

Note that, as an eUpgrade account owner, you are responsible for requesting an upgrade for your eUpgrade nominee. The eUpgrade nominee themselves cannot request upgrades using your eUpgrade credits.
