How do I redeem a Flight Pass credit?
To redeem a flight credit, access your Flight Pass from the aircanada.com home page and select the 'Book Now' option.
Will I receive a further receipt when I book a Flight Credit?
When you use a Flight Credit to make a booking, you will receive an electronic Itinerary Receipt showing details of your flight reservation. The Itinerary/Receipt does not provide an estimated value for each flight credit. For details, refer to "What are Flight Credits".
How do I purchase a Flight Pass?
Click on the Flight Pass tab located on the aircanada.com home page. You must be an Aeroplan member and must be signed into aircanada.com to purchase. If you are not yet an Aeroplan member, have not received or forgotten your PIN, select Join Now / Sign In. The cost of each Flight Pass is shown in Canadian dollars and does not include applicable GST or QST taxes. These taxes will be added when you make your Flight Pass purchase.
I currently have another Flight Pass that gives me complimentary online upgrades. What is the benefit of buying a North America Unlimited Pass?
This is a great time-limited opportunity to experience the freedom of unlimited access across North America. Fly as much as you want, when you want. Remember, your current Flight Pass is still good for 353 days but if you purchase a North America Unlimited Pass we will extend the validity of your Flight Pass for an extra two months
If I purchase the North America Unlimited Pass, when can I start making my bookings?
You may begin to make bookings immediately following the purchase of your North America Unlimited Pass. Travel may start no earlier than October 1st, 2005 and all travel must be completed by midnight, November 30th, 2005.
Can I stand by for an upgrade to Executive Class using my Aeroplan System Wide, or Special Upgrade Certificate?
If you are an Elite or Super Elite member and hold a valid Aeroplan Special System Wide Upgrade Certificate, good for use with Tango Plus Fares (Printed on certificate as Tango Plus fares), and follow the terms and conditions on the certificate. If your upgrade is not available prior to departure, you may request an upgrade on a stand-by basis at the airport. Upgrades are subject to the terms and conditions indicated on the certificate. Online upgrades are not available for this product.
Can I use my North America Unlimited Pass to make bookings on United Airlines codeshare Flights?
North America Unlimited Pass bookings allow you to book on Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz, and Air Canada Regional partners only. It is not valid on codeshare flights, or flights operated by United Airlines
If my flight gets cancelled by Air Canada, or due to weather, do I still need to cancel and will I be charged the No-Show fee
No, you do not need to cancel. The No-Show fee will not apply, in the event a flight is cancelled by Air Canada.
Can I change flight, rebook or cancel flight credits?
For the North America Unlimited Pass, you can cancel, rebook or change flights online at aircanada.com. Complimentary Call Centre assistance is also available, but only to cancel and re-credit your flight credits. Remember that a $125 CAD No-Show fee will be charged each time, in the event that you do not travel and have not cancelled your booking.
How can I make changes at the airport and what fees apply?
Changes at the airport on day of departure will be subject to a $50.00CAD / $40.00 USD same day confirmation fee. Otherwise, changes can be made anytime by going online at aircanada.com free of charge.
My company is paying for the North America Unlimited Pass. Is there a way to have the No-Show fees collected to my personal credit card?
Because payments are processed automatically, the cost of the North America Unlimited Pass, as well as any associated $125.00 No-Show fees will automatically be charged to the credit card provided at time of purchase.
I need to bill my company for my flights. As there are an unlimited number of credits, how can I determine the value of one flight for expense or insurance purposes?
As this pass allows you to fly an unlimited number of flights, it is not possible to determine the value of a single flight segment. However, you can go to our website under Flight Shopping to get an idea of an equivalent fare.
My Credit Card used for payment expires at the end of the month. Can I provide you with another Credit Card number for the second payment?
A valid Credit Card is needed at the time of purchase. Because a recurrent payment will be done automatically, it is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure it is valid thru the month of December 2005
If my credit card does not work on the second installment, what happens?
Your Flight Pass will be revoked from use until Air Canada collects the second payment
If payment for the North America Unlimited Pass is made in two installments, do I get the 1 Aeroplan Mile for 3$ spent twice?
Yes, for each payment you will be awarded 1 Aeroplan Mile for every 3 $ spent. This will be done in two transactions
Why can't I see my bookings on the Flight Pass Details page?
Due to current system limitations, we are unable to display more than 90 bookings. Rest assure, your bookings are still there and can be viewed on the Flight Pass bookings link.
I am a North America Unlimited Flight Pass holder and want to book a flight but am unable to find a seat on the flight I desire. Why is this?
North America Unlimited Flight Pass bookings are made in the same inventory class as our Tango Plus fares. While last seat availability is not offered with the North America Unlimited Flight Pass, pass holders are given high access to seats. There may be occassions when flights are reaching maximum capacity where a seat may not be available. Please seek an alternative flight.
