A reminder about Economy Basic baggage allowance

As a reminder, Economy Basic fare tickets purchased on or after January 3, 2025, no longer include carry-on baggage. Customers travelling on a Basic fare may bring one (1) personal article on board when travelling:

• within Canada or to/from the U.S. (including Hawaii and Puerto Rico)
• to and from Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean

All other bags must be checked before security, either at a self-serve bag drop location or at a check-in counter.

The standard fee for a first checked bag is $35 +tax. Any bags that need to be checked at the gate will be checked for a higher fee of $65 +tax.

Connecting Internationally 

If you’re travelling onward to an international destination, you can bring one (1) standard carry-on bag and one (1) personal item on board.
