Drones in Colombia
March 09, 2026
The Government of Colombia has implemented new requirements (only available in Spanish) for passengers travelling to Colombia with drones. Here’s what you’ll need to know:
- Drones can only be brought into Colombia through El Dorado International Airport (BOG) in Bogotá. They must be declared upon arrival by completing a baggage declaration form to indicate whether your drone equipment is intended for artistic, professional, or trade‑related use.
- Form 530(only in Spanish) is also available online if you would like to complete it ahead of time. Note that it is not required at check-in or for boarding.
- The information you provide will be verified by Colombian customs authorities upon arrival. Find out more about customs declarations for entering Colombia.
Passengers who do not meet the conditions provided may experience additional inspection or delays at the airport. For more information, please check with local customs authorities.
