Toronto, Billy Bishop City Airport

Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport

Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) - formerly known as Toronto City Centre Airport, and also known as the Toronto Island Airport - is located on an island in Toronto Harbour, just minutes from the city's financial, industrial and entertainment districts.

Check-in

If you haven't completed your check-in in advance using our convenient Web Check-in or Mobile Check-in options, you can use one of the four Self-service check-in kiosks located in the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport terminal, or see an agent at the Air Canada counter.

Connection to the mainland

A pedestrian tunnel connects Toronto's mainland to the island, providing quick, reliable and easy access to the airport.

The airport is also connected to the mainland by a ferry system that carries passengers across the 121-metre (400 feet) gap that is the Western Channel. During airport operating hours, the airport's passenger and vehicle ferry, TCCA 1, makes the round trip across the Western Channel every 15 minutes.

Shuttle bus service

Air Canada offers its customers complimentary shuttle bus service between downtown and Toronto City Airport. Approximately every 15 minutes, the shuttle brings travellers to and from the west entrance of The Fairmont Royal York Hotel, located at the corner of Front and York streets, directly across from Union Station.
