Each certificate is valid for a one-way upgrade and is conveniently available in booklets of two. Certificates are valid one year from date of purchase and each booklet costs $100 CAD/USD, plus applicable taxes.
Rapidair Upgrade Certificates
To purchase your Rapidair Upgrade certificates, visit the airport ticket counter in Toronto, Montreal or Ottawa.
They are sold in booklets of four certificates for $160 CAD/USD (plus applicable taxes). Each certificate is valid for a one-way upgrade to Executive Class from Latitude fares (Y, M or U booking class) for one year from date of issue.
To use an upgrade certificate for Canada-USA and Rapidair:
- Ensure you have a confirmed Latitude ticket in Y, M or U booking class for travel aboard any qualifying Air Canada or Air Canada Jazz.†TM flight
- Reservations for upgrades cannot be made on aircanada.com, and must be confirmed through Air Canada Reservations. Please call within 48 hours of departure to request your upgrade. Upgrades are subject to availability.
- Present your upgrade certificate when you check-in or have it available for the customer service agent at the express baggage drop off or the gate when using the express check-in Kiosks.
Upgrades can only be applied to a previously-purchased ticket with confirmed reservations. For upgrades to be honoured, the certificate must be presented at check-in.
Upgrade certificates are not valid on Air Canada marketed flights operated by other airlines, or on charter flights, for Aeroplan® reward travel, or with promotional passes. Certificates are non-refundable and do not permit access to Maple LeafTM lounges.
