Air Canada Cargo is pleased to be among the businesses shortlisted for the 2020 edition of the Heavy Lift Awards in two categories, Airfreight Solution of the Year and Excellence in Engineering, for converting Air Canada Boeing 777-300ER passenger aircraft to accommodate freight in the cabin.
The Heavy Lift Awards aim to reward, recognize, and celebrate excellence in the project cargo supply chain. Nominees include companies that have executed complex transport operations and implemented safe and environmentally friendly working practices.
There are now four converted Boeing 777-300ER and three A333 aircraft deployed on dozens of cargo-only routes internationally. More than 650 flights have been operated with these aircraft so far. Cabin-loading continues to be optimized for PPE, including a recent shipment of hospital gowns from Istanbul, mail and perishables from South America.
The success of these operations is a result of cross-company collaboration, our commitment to excellence, and the continued support of our customers.
We are honored to be recognized.
