Air Canada has teamed with Optiontown to offer the Flexibility Reward Option (FRO), an innovative service that caters to eligible customers who are flexible with their booked flights.
If you have booked a flight on Air Canada and have the flexibility to accept an alternative flight
of your choosing, you could be eligible to
earn up to $57 CAD/USD per one-way, including connections. See the ‘Eligibility’ section below.
If you are eligible*, and are interested in the Flexibility Reward Option, here is
how it works:
- Visit www.optiontown.com and enter your booking reference number.
- Indicate whether your degree of flexibility allows you to take a flight a few hours later or up to three days after your currently scheduled travel date(s);
- Select an alternative flight that fits your travel plans from the list of flights displayed;
- Choose to receive your flight notification a minimum of either two (2) days OR four (4) days before your original departure. The flight notification is sent to you on or before the notification deadline date you select, and will tell you whether or not Optiontown has changed your flight(s).
- Earn up to $7 CAD/USD per one-way just for signing up even if your originally booked flights do not change.
- Earn up to $50 CAD/USD per one-way if Optiontown moves you to your alternative flights.
Important: Only once you have confirmed your choice of alternative flights, may Optiontown and Air Canada choose to move you to one of those alternative flights. A notification will be sent by email on or before the notification deadline date you selected.

*Eligibility
The FRO option applies to:
- Customers travelling on select flights within Canada or between Canada and the U.S. on Tango or Tango Plus fares.
- Bookings for one or two passengers on flights operated by Air Canada and Jazz only.
