Changes to checked baggage policy

June 15, 2012 - Air Canada is revising its checked baggage policy for customers with an Economy Class ticket issued on or after June 15, 2012, as follows:

• Check one free bag and a 2nd bag for $100 CAD/USD (per direction) when you travel between the United States and the United Kingdom.

Other recent changes

• Air Canada revised its checked baggage policy for customers with an Economy Class ticket issued on or after June 1, 2012, as follows:

• Check one bag free and a second bag for $100 CAD/USD (per direction) when you travel between Canada/the United States and:
• Europe (except the U.K.),
• Egypt, Malawi, Morocco and Zambia
• the Middle East (except Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates)

The checked baggage policy for customers with an Economy Class ticket issued on/after May 18, 2012 was also revised as follows:

• Check 2 bags free when you travel between Canada/the United States and:
• Africa (except Egypt, Malawi, Morocco and Zambia)
• India,
• Qatar,
• Saudi Arabia,
• Turkey and
• the United Arab Emirates.
