Travel Update

Travelling to, from or via the U.S.?

As required under the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA)'s Secure Flight Program, Air Canada, along with other airlines, will collect and send to the TSA the following additional information for flights to, from or via the United States:
Full name as it appears on the passport (mandatory)
Date of birth (mandatory),
Gender (mandatory),
Redress Number (optional)

To ensure that the above information is provided on time, Air Canada requires that travellers submit their information at time of booking. If you booked your flight through a party other than Air Canada, Air Canada Vacations or Aeroplan,, and your Secure Flight information was not collected (or you are not sure whether or not it was collected), we invite you to complete our online APIS form at least 72 hours prior to travel, or as soon as possible if your booking was made within 72 hours of departure.

We've answered some of the most commonly asked questions about the Secure Flight Program and the provision of personal information.
