Travelling to Japan?
Starting November 20, 2007, visitors entering Japan will be fingerprinted and photographed before being interviewed by Japanese immigration inspectors upon arrival in Japan. This new procedure will apply to all foreign nationals age 16 and above, including those in possession of re-entry permits. Japanese nationals, special permanent residents, and certain diplomatic officials are currently exempt from this requirement.
