Same-day airport standby allows eligible customers to stand by for an earlier flight on their day of departure.

• Latitude and Executive Class (Lowest and Flexible) customers may stand by free of charge.
• Same-day airport standby is subject to availability.
• Not applicable to passengers who have already checked their bags

A service fee of $25 is applied to any new booking or any change to an existing booking that could have otherwise been completed online. The service fee is per transaction per passenger, with a maximum fee of $100 per booking.

The service fee is not applied to:

• Changes that cannot be made online.
• Flight reservations for itineraries not available through aircanada.com.
• General inquiries.
• Website assistance.

Rapidair route: Any direct Air Canada flight or Air Canada Express flight operated by Jazz between Toronto and Montreal or Toronto and Ottawa.

Altitude Qualifying Miles are Aeroplan Miles which count towards Air Canada Altitude status.

• Earn Altitude Qualifying Miles as indicated on flights operated by Air Canada, as well as on Air Canada Express flights operated by Jazz, Sky Regional, Air Georgian Limited (dba Air Alliance) and Exploits Valley Air Services Ltd.
• Tango fares earn 25% Aeroplan Miles (not qualifying for Altitude status) for distance travelled.
• Tango fares do not earn Altitude Qualifying Segments.

• Executive Class (Lowest and Flexible) customers are eligible for complimentary access to Maple Leaf Lounges, Star Alliance members’ Business Class lounges and other Air Canada contract lounges, where available.
• Flex and Latitude customers who pre-purchased Maple Leaf Lounge access must present their boarding pass from a same-day departing flight operated by Air Canada.
• Lounge access applies to the departure city, as well as any eligible connection cities, where available.
• Lounge access is only available at select Canadian airports, as well as in Los Angeles (LAX) and at New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA).

Your complimentary checked baggage allowance is the maximum number of items which you may check, free of charge, for transport in the aircraft cargo hold.

• Latitude and Executive Class (Lowest & Flexible) customers are exempt from the sports equipment handling fee for 1 item.
• Tango and Flex customers are required to pay all applicable sports equipment handling fees.
• For all customers: sports equipment counts towards your free checked baggage allowance. If your baggage count (pieces of sports equipment + number of bags to be checked) exceeds the maximum number of items allowed by your fare type, additional checked baggage charges will apply.
• Sports equipment handling fees apply for bicycles, surfboards, firearms and antlers/horns.

• For Tango customers, the fee for advance seat selection is distance-based, as follows:
  $18: Zone 1 (Up to 350 miles)
  $20: Zone 2 (351 - 1000 miles)
  $26: Zone 3 (1001 to 1600 miles)
  $31: Zone 3 (Over 1600 miles)

The Onboard Café provides a wide range of fresh meal and snack options, as well as alcoholic beverages.

• Your voucher may be applied towards the purchase of any available item(s), up to its total value.
• Onboard Café is available on most flights of 2 hours or more.

• Latitude and Executive Class (Lowest and Flexible) customers must present their Itinerary Receipt at the time of purchase to prove eligibility for the duty-free discount.
• Duty-Free is available on most Air Canada-operated flights from the U.S. to Canada over 3 hours.
• Purchases can be made by credit card only, with a $500 CAD limit per person.

In the event of flight delays or disruptions that are beyond Air Canada's responsibility or control, On My Way travel assistance offers around-the-clock priority rebooking service, a hotel if needed, and much more for only a small fee.

• The fee is distance-based, as follows:
  $25: Zone 1 (0 - 1000 miles)
  $35: Zone 2 (over 1000 miles)

• Not available on same-day round trips.
• Customers who need to check baggage after selecting this option will be charged a $50 fee (per passenger, per direction) to reinstate their original baggage allowance, as per the purchased fare type. Additional checked baggage charges will apply if the number of bags to be checked exceeds your original baggage allowance, or if baggage is overweight or oversized.

• Customers who select this option can neither cancel nor change their ticket.
• Once a ticket has been purchased with this option selected, the full amount of the ticket is forfeited if travel is not completed.

• To be eligible for this option, you must be an Aeroplan member.
• Customers who have opted out of earning Aeroplan Miles will not receive any Aeroplan Miles or bonus Aeroplan Miles for distance flown.
