If you do not have an account with CIBC, BMO Bank of Montreal, RBC Royal Bank, Scotiabank or TD Canada Trust, you will have to choose an alternate form of payment.
Please contact your financial institution and ask them about your daily limit.
Also, before proceeding with a purchase, you may wish to contact your bank about payment security policies. Your bank may flag any unexpected activity on your account. This includes first time orders and high value purchases, regardless of the amount of funds available (or credit limit). Your bank may require your verbal authorization to proceed with a transaction.
If the transaction you are making exceeds your Interac Online daily limit, it will not be completed and no funds will be withdrawn from your account. You will be advised to enter an alternate form of payment or to contact your financial institution.
Once you have completed your online banking transaction, you will be re-directed to aircanada.com, where you will be provided with your booking reference. Your booking reference is proof that you have successfully completed your ticket purchase. At this time, you may also choose to select a seat.
A second Interac Online transaction will be required for any seat or travel option purchases as these are processed separately from ticket purchases. Once you’ve completed your seat and/or travel option purchase, you will be once again directed to aircanada.com and to a final confirmation page.
When applicable, claims for refunds of payments made using Interac Online may take up to 10 business days (unless otherwise stated in applicable law) to be reviewed and a refund cheque mailed. Please make sure to always provide a mailing address.
Note that refund cheques are issued to the person whose name appears on the applicable ticket.
