New carbon offset projects
Starting June 1, 2010, Air Canada and its environmental partner Zerofootprint (ZFP) will offer customers two more options to offset the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions generated through their flights.
In addition to a forest restoration project in Maple Ridge, B.C., customers will now be able to assist with landfill gas recovery efforts in Ontario and used car and truck tire recycling in Quebec.
A not-for-profit organization, Zerofootprint is committed to helping us all become carbon neutral, by providing us with the tools to offset the carbon dioxide we emit with our air travel, but also in our homes and with our cars.
