Make online changes to tickets you buy online

Air Canada is pleased to offer online booking changes for maximum flexibility. Bookings made on aircanada.com may be changed right up to two hours before departure.

For changes to bookings not made on aircanada.com, please contact Air Canada Reservations or your travel agent.

What You Can Do:

• Change your departure or arrival city;
• Change your departure or arrival date;
• Add a flight;
• Change your seat selection (subject to availability);
• Change a flight’s fare family; for example, go from a TANGO to a LATITUDE fare;
• Provide frequent flyer plan numbers (Aeroplan and Star Alliance);
• Select a variety of travel options;
• Modify your sports equipment or additional baggage allowance;

Please note that all changes are subject to availability, and some limitations do apply.  In order to complete certain changes, you may be asked to enter the credit card number used for booking; credit card information will be used for authentication purposes only.

How to Change a Reservation Online:

•  Select the ‘Manage My Bookings’ tab at aircanada.com, then:
•  If you have an account, sign in to access all your bookings and select the one you wish to change;
•  If you do not have an account, retrieve a single booking by entering your booking reference number and passenger last name. In order to complete certain changes, you will be asked to enter the credit card number used for booking (credit card information is used for authentication purposes only).
•  If your booking is eligible for online changes, all available change options will appear in the top right-hand corner of the page. Select the option that suits your needs.
•  Any applicable fare difference(s) or change fees are clearly itemized before you confirm your new flight details.
•  If a refund is due, it will be credited back to the original form of payment.
•  An email is sent to an address you specify to confirm that your changes have been made.

Note:

• You will need to contact Air Canada Reservations for changes to:
  • Any booking that is on hold;
  • Bookings for which you need to add, remove or replace one or more passengers;
  • The remaining portion of a booking if one or more segments of your itinerary have already been flown.
• If your ticket is non-refundable or refundable with a fee, please note that when changing to a lower fare, any difference in value is forfeited.
