The Lockheed Super Constellation a giant in its day - was used by Trans-Canada Air Lines on long distance routes. The triple fins on the tail of the "Super Connie" gave it a distinctive appearance. In 1957 TCA added wing tip fuel tanks to increase the aircraft's range to make it suitable for North Atlantic routes.
