Description of the Virtual Event
Aeroplan ®, in collaboration with the NHLCA ™, is hosting a series of seven (7) virtual events with the head coaches of the seven (7) major league Canadian hockey teams (“Behind the Bench with Aeroplan”) as a benefit for and to engage with its Aeroplan Members, who will receive a personalized invitation to attend the Virtual Event of the team in their city (collectively referred to as the “Virtual Event”).
Each Virtual Event, which will take place between March 21, 2021 and April 15, 2021, will be streamed online to registered Aeroplan Members (“Eligible Participants”) and are subject to the following Terms and Conditions.
How the Virtual Event Works
- All Eligible Participants must be Aeroplan Members. If someone wishes to participate and is not an Aeroplan Member, they must sign up for an Aeroplan membership. Enrollment is free and easy! Sign up here.

To register and participate in the Virtual Event:
- Aeroplan Members Aeroplan Members must register for the Event by following the “Register Now” link from the landing page from the team-specific Aeroplan x NHLCA landing page. The link to said landing page may be accessed through their personalized invitation for the team in their city, or from and ad for the Event on the teams’ websites. Those without an Aeroplan membership must sign up for an Aeroplan account. Enrollment is free and easy! Sign up here.
- Aeroplan Members will be taken to an external event registration website in which they must only enter their first name, last name, email address, and Aeroplan number.
- Aeroplan Members will not receive additional promotional emails as a result of event registration, however by registering they consent to receiving service emails specific to their participation in the event including but not limited to instructions on how to join or event reminders.
- Aeroplan Members may submit a question for consideration to be asked by the moderator to the head coach during the Virtual Event. By submitting a question, they consent to having their first and last name displayed on the screen during the Virtual Event.
- To participate in the Virtual Event, Eligible Participants must have a high-speed internet connection, a laptop or desktop computer, and a web browser that can access online live events. Aeroplan is not responsible for additional data use charges for Wi-Fi or mobile devices as a result of participating to the Virtual Event.
Cost of Access to the Virtual Event
There is no monetary cost nor redemption of Aeroplan points required to take part in this Virtual Event.
Virtual Event Content
Participants acknowledge that Aeroplan reserves the right to change any and all aspects of the Virtual Event at its own discretion, including but not limited to Virtual Event name, event platform, themes, content, program, speakers, moderators, date, and time.
Eligible Participants Conduct
Disruptive Conduct – By participating to the Virtual Event, you, as an Eligible Participant, acknowledge and agree that Aeroplan reserves the right to remove you from the Virtual Event if Aeroplan, in its sole discretion, determines that your participation or your behavior creates a disruption or hinders the Virtual Event or the enjoyment of the Virtual Event content by other Eligible Participants.
Recording & Broadcasting – Eligible Participants may not in any case record or broadcast audio or video of sessions of these Virtual Events.
Release from Liability and Additional Legal Notices
By participating to a Virtual Event, Eligible Participant acknowledges and agrees that Aeroplan: (i) shall have no liability of any kind whatsoever with respect to the Virtual Event; (ii) make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning the Virtual Event; (iii) disclaim any implied warranty; and (iv) is not liable for injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from an Eligible Participant’s participation in the Virtual Event. Aeroplan is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the documentation related to the Virtual Event, including, but not limited to, errors in advertising materials and in the official Terms and Conditions. Aeroplan is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems or servers, computer software problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website and assumes no liability for damage to Aeroplan Member's or any person's computer resulting from participating in the Virtual Event.
If a Virtual Event is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, pandemic or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Aeroplan which corrupt or affect the administration, security or proper conduct of the Virtual Event, Aeroplan reserves the right at its sole discretion to, without advance notice, terminate or suspend the Virtual Event, in whole or in part, or modify it in any way.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations applicable in the province of Quebec.
In the event of any discrepancies between the English language Terms and Conditions and the French language Terms and Conditions for the Virtual Event, the English version shall prevail.

to participate in the Aeroplan Program, you must consent to the terms of the Privacy Policy which can be found here and the collection,
use and disclosure of your personal information that it describes, as modified from time to time. This condition does not apply to members in the
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland, who must acknowledge the Privacy Policy as adapted.
