Did you forget something on one of our flights or at the airport? We can assist in trying to locate your lost item.
I lost something at the airport
If you left an item in a public area of the airport, please advise the Lost and Found department at the appropriate airport.
I forgot something on a flight
If you lost or forgot an item on a codeshare flight, please contact your operating carrier.
If you lost or forgot an item on an Air Canada flight, here are three:
Ways to let us know
- Advise an airport baggage agent before leaving the airport.
- Call our Central Baggage Office at 1-888-689-2247 (within North America) or your local Air Canada office if you are outside North America.
When you call, we'll ask you:
- Your name and phone number;
- Your home address;
- Your flight number;
- The date(s) on which you travelled, and
- A detailed description of the item you lost.
Chat with one of our representatives:
If we find your lost item, we will contact you and your property will be returned to you. Please note that any found items remain at the Airport where they were reported lost, for a period of 5 days, before they are sent to our Central Lost and Found Office.
I lost my passport
If you have lost your passport, you must advise your passport office or consulate immediately.
All passports found at an airport are turned over to the local Canadian or United States Customs office, or to Airport Security at the airport in which they are found.
I lost some currency
All currency found by an Air Canada or Jazz employee in a lost wallet, bag or piece of clothing is put in safekeeping at the Air Canada ticketing office in the airport where it was found, and a receipt is placed inside the item in which the currency was found.
When the lost wallet, bag or piece of clothing is returned to you, it will be accompanied by the receipt and a letter explaining how you can claim your money.
I lost my ticket
If you've lost a ticket issued by Air Canada, please contact Air Canada Reservations. If your ticket was not issued by Air Canada, contact the ticket issuer, your travel agent or the ticket-issuing airline.
Important: Air Canada and Jazz offer our Lost and Found service on a courtesy basis and are not liable for any missing property. Please ensure all correspondence includes the reference number provided to you by our Central Baggage Office.
