How to access and use your Status Pass

As an Aeroplan 50K, 75K, or Super Elite member, you have the option of choosing Status Pass through Select Benefits. Give a status pass to anyone you want – a friend, a family member, or even a colleague. They can use it to enjoy premium travel services on flights operated by Air Canada when they’re travelling without you. They can even share the love – the premium travel services they get with a status pass extend to up to 9 people on their reservation.

More Information

  • Status Passes remain valid for use until December 31st of the year during which the pass was selected. Travel must depart on/before December 31st of each year.

  • The pass cannot be added to group bookings of more than 9 passengers.

  • The recipients of the Status Pass do not have to be Aeroplan members.

  • Bookings must include at least one Air Canada-operated flight. Status Pass entitles the recipient to premium travel services on Air Canada-operated flights only. These benefits do not extend to flights operated by another airline.

  • Status Pass can be applied to unused revenue and redemption bookings through the member Dashboard or Air Canada Contact Center. Status Pass can be applied to partially used revenue and redemption bookings through the Contact Center only.

  • Status Pass can be only applied to Air Canada Vacations bookings through the Air Canada Contact Centre.

  • For bookings that already include enhanced benefits (eg. Business Class bookings, recipient holds Aeroplan Elite Status higher than Aeroplan 50K), Status Pass can only be applied through the Air Canada Contact Center.

  • One Status Pass is valid for all passengers booked together on one itinerary. The Pass is considered used once travel has commenced.

  • Unused Status Passes can be cancelled up to 6 hours prior to travel through the member Dashboard. The Pass cannot be refunded once travel has commenced.
