GOOD TO KNOW

NEW GATE NUMBERS AT TORONTO PEARSON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

When your clients travel from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) on/after January 31, 2012, the gate number displayed on their boarding card will look a little different.

YYZ has switched to an alpha-numeric gate lounge numbering system, aligning the airport with the way-finding signage found at other major global hubs.

Prior to January 31, gate numbers inside Terminal 1 started with a "1" or a “2” followed by two more numbers. As of January 31, the first number ("1" or “2”) has been replaced by a letter that signifies the sector and will be followed by two numbers. The letters are:

  • D for Domestic - E for International - F for USA

For example:

  • Gate 120 is Domestic, as of Jan. 31: D20
  • Gate 161 is Transborder, as of Jan 31: F61
  • Gate 174 is International, as of Jan 31: E74

Visit torontopearson.com for more information.

FUEL-EFFICIENT AIRCRAFT

For several years, Air Canada has been replacing its fleet with new, more fuel-efficient aircraft. Our latest aircraft use approximately 3 litres of fuel per 100 passenger/km.

The result: we've improved fuel efficiency by 30% since 1990.
