FUEL SURCHARGE INCREASE
Effective July 23, the fuel surcharge from Canada to Taiwan has increased from $ 54 to $ 67 CA per direction.

BATHURST AIRPORT TEMPORARY CLOSURE
Due to runway construction, the Bathurst airport will be closed from September 7 - 24. As a result, Air Canada’s service Montreal – Bathurst will be cancelled.

• The last flight departing Bathurst to Montreal will be : AC 8739, departure at 06:00 (Sep 7)
• The first flight departing Montreal to Bathurst will be : AC 8742, departure at 19:40 (Sep 24)

Customers will be re-protected via Moncton*. Air Canada has added an additional flight between Montreal Moncton, also between September 7 - 24.

Providing your customers' mobile phone number is one more way you can ensure that Air Canada can reach them in the case of an irregular operation.

When you make a booking at aircanada.com/agents, please provide your client's mobile phone number on the "passenger contact information" section.

This way, Air Canada will notify your clients the flight cancellation via text message, in an irregular operation.



COMMUNICATE the FARE RULES
Before issuing your clients’ tickets, please let them know that in the event they need to make a change, before or after departure, they are subject to the change fee and additional collection, if the original booking class is not available.

When you make a booking for your clients, please ensure you advise them of the required travel documents for their itinerary. Additional documents may be required depending on country of origin, to transit through Canada and re-board a connecting flight.

TRANSBORDER & RAPIDAIR UPGRADE CERTIFICATES
Effective August 1, Air Canada will discontinue the sale of Rapidair and Transborder Upgrade Certificates available for purchase at the airport. Customers holding these certificates will be able to use them until their expiry date, one year after date of purchase.



enRoute FILM FESTIVAL
The enRoute Film Festival will showcase emerging Canadian short film talent on board Air Canada flights from August - November. All 12 selected shorts will compete for: Best Short Film, Achievement in Animation, Direction and Cinematography Awards.

This year's star-studded jury includes Actor/Director Alan Cumming, Actor Carlo Rota, Director Denis Villeneuve, Actor/Director Jason Priestly, Director Jeremy Podeswa, Director Kari Skogland and Actor Sheila McCarthy.

The Best Short Film winner will be awarded $5,000 courtesy of Cineplex Entertainment and all award winners will receive an all-inclusive Air Canada trip for two to the Whistler Film Festival.
