maintenance
In addition to the aircraft skilled trades, there are several Ground Equipment and Facilities Maintenance roles within the organization:

Stock Keeper - Receiving, shipping, warehousing, and issuing functions of aircraft parts, including the operation of motorized equipment and local delivery motor vehicles and other associated duties. Engaged in the inspection of aircraft and non-aircraft materials, parts and components. Must have a high school diploma, provincial driver's licence, and ability to use a fork-lift.

Millwright - Air Canada millwrights undertake the repair and overhaul of ground equipment. This position requires a valid Provincial Automotive Mechanic's licence or equivalent Facilities and Millwright training and experience.

Automobile Technician - Engaged in the repair and overhaul of automobile equipment and involved in a variety of repair tasks for our fleet of ground equipment, including trucks, cars, and various other mechanical equipment. Candidates must have an interprovincial trade certificate in heavy duty or automotive mechanics and hold a valid driver's licence.

Electrician - Engaged in the installation and maintenance of service and distribution electrical systems, forming an integral part of the buildings occupied by Air Canada.

Janitor - Engaged in the cleaning and care of the property and premises and any non-mechanical manual labour tasks.

Stationary Plant Operator - Engaged in the operation and maintenance of the power house/boiler room equipment and the monitoring and servicing of related systems, including running repairs and maintenance of that equipment. This position requires a valid and appropriate Provincial Fixed Equipment Operators Certificate with a minimum 2nd class steam boiler operators endorsement and a minimum class "B" refrigeration equipment operators endorsement.

Plumber - Engaged in the installation and maintenance of service and distribution pipeline systems forming an integral part of the buildings occupied by the Company. This position requires a valid Provincial Pipe Fitters Licence for plumbing and heating.
