The implementation of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) eManifest-eHousebill filing initiative for freight forwarders came into effect on January 4, 2021.
For all freight destined to Canada, freight forwarders and brokers will be required to electronically report ACI (Advance Commercial Information) data using the eManifest housebills for all consolidated freight.
The Timeframe for submitting advance information to the CBSA is a minimum of four (4) hours prior to arrival of the flight into Canada.
NOTE: Air Canada will be responsible for the Master Air Waybill data capture for Customs reporting.
CBSA has extended the zero-rated AMPs penalties to Fall of 2021 and will be holding implementation sessions for clients throughout the summer. Please see below link for more information on eManifest sessions
