December 12, 2019 Update to Current China Customs Requirements
Dear Valued Customer,
Effective Dec 1st, 2019 the requirements mandated by China Customs that went into effect June 1, 2018 will be lifted. You will no longer be required to provide the information below when completing air waybills for shipments to China.
Shipper's business registration code (begins with EIN)
Consignee's business registration code (begins with USCI)
Consignee's contact person's name and the contact person's contact detail (telephone or fax)
This applies to bookings made directly with an Air Canada Cargo agent or representative and bookings via EDI messaging (the FWB line on the MAWB and the FHL line on the HAWB).
