May 16, 2017 e-Air Waybill – Preferred in Madrid, Spain
Electronic air waybill (e-AWB) will become the preferred method of shipping cargo at our Madrid, Spain station (MAD), effective June 1, 2017.
e-AWB: 3 EASY STEPS
Join the IATA Multilateral e-AWB Agreement. This agreement covers the terms and conditions found on the reverse side of traditional paper AWBs. See the IATA website for details.
Transmit air waybill data before cargo acceptance at the terminal. Data can be delivered using IATA's EDI Cargo IMP or XML (FWB/XFWB) messages or via web tool. This covers the front side of a traditional paper AWB.
Tender your shipments without paper AWB. For destinations where a paper AWB might be required due to regulatory, operational, or other reasons, we will print the paper AWB for you, based on the air waybill data transmitted.
e-BOOKING: A SIMPLE SOLUTION
Air Canada Cargo's e-Booking tool is e-AWB compatible and makes online booking of cargo an easy proposition.
