On Thursday, May 7, Air Canada Cargo won the Humanitarian Excellence award at the annual Central Region FCA (Forwarders Celebrating Associates) Gala organized by CIFFA, the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association. The award was based on Air Canada's contributions to humanitarian efforts through the Air Canada Foundation, and on Air Canada Cargo's assistance with humanitarian shipments.
FCA Leadership Awards are given in four categories, Environmental Excellence, Humanitarian Excellence, Excellence in Innovation andOutstanding Community Contributions, in each of three Canadian regions, Central, Eastern and Western.
Cargo General Sales Manager for Canada Matthieu Casey, Regional sales manager Ken McDonald along with the Cargo YYZ sales and operations teams were at the gala to receive the award.
The galas for the Eastern and Western region will be held later.
“We take great pride in being recognized for an award like this,” says Matthieu. “By assisting organizations that help people around the world at the worst of times, Air Canada makes a difference. We are all part of that, and in working to achieve Air Canada's goals, we ensure that this support will be there for the long term.”
