What is a Welcome Aboard Pass?
A new product available exclusively at aircanada.com, providing unlimited travel possibilities on specific days of the week and within a specific geographic zone for the duration of the subscription. The Welcome Aboard Pass can only be accessed using your Aeroplan number and PIN, or by your travel agent if the purchase is made by them on your behalf.
How do I purchase a Flight Pass?
Click on the Flight Pass tab located on the aircanada.com home page. You must be an Aeroplan member and must be signed into aircanada.com to purchase. If you are not yet an Aeroplan member, have not received or forgotten your PIN, select Join Now / Sign In.
* The Welcome Aboard Pass is a limited time offer that can only be purchased from 14 December, 2006 to 03 January, 2007.
How many Flight Credits are included?
Air Canada 's Welcome Aboard Passes contain an unlimited number of flight credits for use on specified days of the week and the geographic zone and duration of your subscription selected at time of purchase. Each flight credit is valid for a one way segment from origin to destination, including connection. The price of a Welcome Aboard Pass is indicated per month.
How long is the Welcome Aboard Pass valid for?
Travel is valid from January 9th – 6 March, 2007. No travel is permitted outside of these dates.
Does the price of a Welcome Aboard Pass include taxes or extra fees?
The price of a Welcome Aboard Pass is shown in Canadian dollars. Only the GST (and QST tax for Quebec residents), will be added when you make your Flight Pass purchase. No other additional fees or surcharges will be applied when you book your credits.
Do I receive Aeroplan Miles for purchasing a Flight Pass ?
Depending on the option you choose, each month, you will earn: 2,000 Air Canada Status Miles for the Welcome Aboard 2 Day option, and 3,000 Air Canada Status Miles for the Welcome Aboard 3 Day option. No other Aeroplan Miles will be awarded in conjunction with Welcome Aboard Passes. Flight segments from a Welcome Aboard Pass do not qualify for Air Canada Top Tier status.
How do I make a reservation with my Welcome Aboard Pass?
To make a reservation, access your Flight Pass from the aircanada.com home page and select the 'Book Now' option

Will I receive another receipt when I make a booking?
Once you make a booking, you will receive an electronic itinerary and receipt with the details of your reservation.
Can I upgrade to Executive Class using my Air Canada Top Tier Upgrade Certificate?
Yes, if you hold an eligible Air Canada Upgrade Certificate and hold a Welcome Aboard Pass 2 or 3 Day option. If your upgrade is not available prior to departure, you may request an upgrade on a stand-by basis at the airport. Upgrades are subject to booking class availability and capacity controls. Please see certificate for the terms and conditions and for eligible booking classes. Online upgrades are not available using Air Canada Upgrade Certificates.
Can I use my Welcome Aboard Pass to make bookings on United Airlines codeshare Flights?
Welcome Aboard Pass bookings allow you to book on Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz, and Air Canada Regional partners only. It is not valid on codeshare flights, or flights operated by United Airlines
How long are my Welcome Aboard Pass bookings valid for?
Welcome Aboard Pass is valid for the specified travel period. All travel must be completed by 6 March, 2007.
Renewal is not valid for limited time offer passes.
Can I change a flight, or cancel a booking made using my flight credits?
For the Welcome Aboard Pass, you can cancel, rebook or change flights online at aircanada.com. Complimentary Call Centre assistance is also available, but only to cancel your flight credits. Remember that a $150 CAD No-Show fee will be charged each time, in the event that you do not travel and have not cancelled your booking.
All Flight Pass bookings, as well as changes to existing Flight Pass bookings must be made online at aircanada.com, or through your travel agent. Exceptionally, Call Centre assistance is available when change to flight is imminent and is outside Travel Agency hours. Prevailing Call Centre Service fee applies. Please note that all flight pass bookings must be cancelled 1 hour prior to departure. Any Flight Pass bookings not cancelled will be subject to a $150.00 no show fee. The penalty for not cancelling a Welcome Aboard Pass booking is $150.00
No, you do not need to cancel your booking. In the event a flight is cancelled by Air Canada, the No-Show fee will not apply
Same day Airport change is permitted for$50.00 CAD.
* When the change is for a later flight, the original flight must be cancelled.
Bookings for the Welcome Aboard Pass are made in B class. There may be occasions when flights are reaching maximum capacity where a seat may not be available. Please seek an alternative flight.
A valid Credit Card is needed at the time of purchase. Because a recurrent payment will be done automatically, it is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure it is valid thru the entire validity of your Welcome Aboard Pass. If your card expires, please contact Technical Support to provide them with the new card number.
If my credit card does not work on the subsequent billing, what happens?
In the event your credit card gets denied, you will be sent an automatic email advising you that your payment has failed and to contact Air Canada . Your Flight Pass will be revoked from use until Air Canada collects the next instalment payment.
Any change to this schedule is subject to Early Termination Penalty*. In the event of Early Termination penalty is the $300.00 Cad, regardless of the pass type.
