Online Changes: FAQ
Can my booking be changed online?
You can change bookings that you originally made on aircanada.com. Eligible flights may be changed up to 2 hours prior to departure time.
Can Guest bookings be changed online?
Yes. Select "My Bookings" from the top navigation bar. You will be required to provide your booking reference, passenger's last name and credit card number used during booking.
What can I change to my booking?
- Change departure or destination city.
- Change the time of your flight or select a different date.
- Pick a different fare.
- Add another flight to your itinerary.
- Select or change your seat.
- Request an upgrade.
- Add frequent flyer information.
- Cancel entire booking.
- Purchase Onboard Café voucher and Maple Leaf lounge access.
What changes are not possible online?
Passenger information can't be changed online.
What if there is a mistake with my online booking?
If after you have completed your booking at aircanada.com, you notice there is an error (date, spelling etc.) you may contact Air Canada Reservations before midnight (local time) on the same day to request a change. If the change results in a higher fare, you have the option to pay the higher fare or to refund your ticket. This policy covers changes to flights, dates, route and spelling of passenger names. We recommend that you validate your booking by reviewing your itinerary immediately after you have made your reservation.
Where can I change my booking on the aircanada.com site?
- Select "My Bookings" from the right top corner of the aircanada.com header.
- From the list of bookings, select an eligible "Booking Reference" and click the "View" button. Your booking will be displayed only if you were signed in when you booked your flight.
- On the "Flight Booking" page, click "Change Booking".
- On the "Change My Booking" page, either add a flight or change an existing flight.
- Any additional fare or changes fees will be collected on the Purchase page; if a refund is due, it will be issued to the original form of payment.
- Select "Manage my Bookings" from the top navigation bar.
- Select "Access a single Flight Booking."
- Enter your booking reference and the passenger's last name.
- On the "Flight Booking" page, enter the credit card number used to make the original booking and click "Continue."
- Select the change you wish to make on the menu to the right.
- Any additional fare or changes fees will be collected on the "Purchase page." If a refund is due, it will be issued to the same credit card or account used to make the initial payment.
I'm not able to change my booking online; what alternatives do I have?
For bookings made at aircanada.com, contact Air Canada Reservations for changes that cannot be made online. For travel agency bookings, contact your travel agent.
