If, within the 24 hours after completing a purchase on aircanada.com, you find a fare for the exact same Air Canada flight or Air Canada Express flight operated by Jazz or Sky Regional that's at least $1 less with another Canadian online travel retailer, Air Canada will offer you a credit of $50 plus the fare difference, per passenger.

You'll receive your Lowest Fare Guarantee credit in the form of a promotion code, which you can then easily apply toward a future travel purchase on aircanada.com.

The original fare

  • Must be for one-way or round-trip travel within Canada or between Canada and the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) and with a point of origin in Canada;
  • Must not include any add-on travel options (e.g., Maple Leaf Lounge access) or opt-out extra savings (e.g., choosing not to accumulate Aeroplan miles);
  • Must have been purchased on the Canadian edition of aircanada.com for travel marketed and operated by Air Canada, or for travel on an Air Canada Express flight operated by Jazz or Sky Regional.

    (This offer is not valid for itineraries purchased on aircanada.com which include flights operated by other airlines such as Air Canada codeshare flights, or Air Canada Express flights operated by Exploits Valley Air Services and Air Georgian.)

The lower fare

  • Must be available through a Canadian third-party online travel retailer* within the 24 hours following your purchase of the original fare;
  • Must be displayed and sold in Canadian Dollars (CAD);
  • Must be at least $1 less than your original fare;
  • Must be for the exact same Air Canada flight number, for travel marketed and operated by Air Canada, or by Air Canada Express (operated by Jazz or Sky Regional only). – codeshare flights marketed by another carrier are not eligible;
  • Must be for the exact same date, time, itinerary, and fare family as the original itinerary you purchased at aircanada.com;
  • Must be all-inclusive (i.e. including all taxes, fees, charges and surcharges) as this guarantee applies to the total Lower fare;
  • Must not include any add-on travel options (e.g., Maple Leaf Lounge access) or opt-out extra savings (e.g., choosing not to accumulate Aeroplan miles);
  • Must not be available on aircanada.com.
    If you find a lower fare on aircanada.com within the 24 hours following the purchase of your ticket on our website, our current flexible purchase policy allows you to simply cancel and obtain a refund for your original Air Canada booking free of charge via aircanada.com, and purchase the lower fare. In this case, there is no need to submit a claim, as the Lowest Fare Guarantee credit does not apply.

* The third-party vendor must be an IATA accredited distributor of Air Canada fares.

The following fare types are excluded:

  • published fares where the airline is not disclosed at time of purchase;
  • tickets obtained through any type of auction;
  • fares purchased as part of a travel package;
  • fares that are reduced as a result of a promotional or loyalty program discount;
  • Aeroplan reward tickets and Flight Pass products; and
  • fares that are not generally available to the public (e.g. corporate, consolidator, wholesaler, or contract fares).

The Lowest Fare Guarantee does not apply to a ticket for which you choose to request a refund.
