Why? The hotel is only three blocks from Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City (a great place for a pre-breakfast jog).
The WOWfactor: This hotel speaks to both the past – with its glistening lobby, 10 sparkling chandeliers and sweeping 24-step marble staircase, complete with harpist and violinist – and the present: a modern lounge bar, which seems to float in an open atrium.
