Paris Past and Present
THIS MONTH: Paris

WHERE? Room 2236 of the InterContinental Paris Le Grand, a corner suite looking out across rue Scribe.
WHAT? A sense of the past helps us understand the future, today. This building was designed in 1862 by Alfred Armand for the Empress Eugnie, and it has been loved ever since.
WHY? Now decorated by Pierre-Yves Rochon, your bedroom has framed original music scores hung on the royal-blue and golden walls. (Youre in Paris, after all you might want to break out in song.)
The WOW factor: Garniers superb Opra is next door, and the glorious Tuileries is 10 minutes walk away. When you return, join the locals for a light casse-crote or even oysters in the hotels Caf de la Paix.
