In the pink
By Mary Gostelow
THIS MONTH: St. James, Barbados
|
Where? Room 118 at Sandy Lane, Barbados.
What? Your room is a pale haven with marble floors and off-white walls. Your large bathroom has an oval tub, a massive overhead shower with assorted side sprays and towel-lined robes accented with fuchsia.
Why? Go out on your marbled terrace and step over a few stones set in lush greenery to the white sandy beach, complete with allocated loungers and the blue-blue Caribbean.
The WOWfactor: Play the Tom Fazio-designed Green Monkey golf course, where carts come with GPS so you can order ahead for a favourite beverage. At sunset, retreat to the pool complex, where a waterfall gushes down from a rock nine metres high and the sky overhead is pink.
