Minimum Air Canada Flight Requirement

As part of the qualification criteria, you must earn a minimum of 10,000 Altiude Qualifying Miles or 5 Altitude Qualifying Segments on eligible flights operated by Air Canada or Air Canada Express. Note that Altitude Qualifying Miles earned in conjunction with an Unlimited Flight Pass also count towards this minimum requirement.

Priority Reservation Waitlist

Waitlist with priority for a flight at full capacity. Should a seat become available prior to the flight departure date, you will be assigned that seat with priority if you have purchased a fare option which permits waitlisting. Note that this does not apply to Aeroplan Flight Rewards.

Priority Seat Selection

Access reserved seats at the front of the Economy Class cabin on flights operated by Air Canada and Air Canada Express.

Complimentary Preferred Seats

Access Preferred Seats with extra legroom, such as those in exit rows, with the purchase of an eligible fare on flights operated by Air Canada and Air Canada Express.

Guaranteed Reservations in Economy Class

Elite 75K and Super Elite 100K members enjoy a guaranteed seat in Economy Class even when a flight is booked to capacity. Reserve a seat in Economy Class on flights operated by Air Canada and Air Canada Express with the purchase of a full-fare ticket (Y booking class) at least 6 hours prior to departure. This also applies to one travel companion who must be on the same reservation.

Priority Airport Check-in

Check-in at the Air Canada Executive Class and Executive First counters when travelling on flights operated by Air Canada and Air Canada Express. Elite 50K, Elite 75K & Super Elite 100K members may check-in at a Star Alliance Gold counter when travelling with any Star Alliance member airline. Super Elite 100K members have access to exclusive check-in counters in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.

Priority Airport Standby

Standby with priority for another flight at the airport on flights operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Express and Star Alliance member airlines. Should a seat become available, you will be assigned that seat with priority if you have purchased an eligible fare.

Complimentary Checked Baggage Allowance

Enjoy complimentary checked baggage on flights operated by Air Canada and Air Canada Express, regardless of fare purchased. Elite 50K, Elite 75K and Super Elite 100K members will also enjoy a complimentary checked baggage allowance when travelling with any Star Alliance member airline. Contact the carrier operating your flight for details on their baggage policy.

Complimentary Sports Equipment Handling

Enjoy waived handling fees when special items such as bicycles and surfboards are checked within your complimentary checked baggage allowance on flights operated by Air Canada and Air Canada Express.

Priority Baggage Handling

Elite 50K, Elite 75K and Super Elite 100K members may find their bags among the first on the baggage carousel upon the arrival of flights operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Express and any Star Alliance member airline.

Priority Security Clearance

Elite 35K, Elite 50K, Elite 75K and Super Elite 100K members can speed through the security screening process via dedicated lanes at many airports worldwide.

Priority Boarding

Elite 35K, Elite 50K, Elite 75K and Super Elite 100K members can board their flight first, or at their leisure, via a dedicated lane on flights operated by Air Canada and Air Canada Express. Elite 50K, Elite 75K & Super Elite 100K members may also board first when travelling with any Star Alliance member airline, where available.

Air Canada Concierge Service

Super Elite 100K members enjoy the personalized and superior service of Air Canada Concierge agents, who will assist with special requests and daily operational issues, such as monitoring flight connections, proactively re-booking flights, and ensuring a travel experience as seamless as possible. This service is available at select airports:

Complimentary Access to Select Maple Leaf Lounges

Elite 35K members can access the comfort and amenities of the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges located in the domestic and transborder departures zones of Canadian airports, along with those in Los Angeles and New York (LaGuardia). This benefit does not apply to Air Canada International Maple Leaf Lounges located in the international departures zones of Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, as well as Maple Leaf Lounges located in Paris and London-Heathrow (both the departure and the Arrivals Lounge in London). Subject to space availability, you can invite immediate family members (spouse and dependant children) and a first guest at no charge to the select Maple Leaf Lounges. Access applies when you and your guests are travelling on a same-day flight operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Express or any Star Alliance member airline. Anyone entering the lounge under the age of majority must be accompanied by an adult.

Star Alliance Gold lounges worldwide. Subject to space availability, you can invite one guest at no charge. Access applies when you and your guest are travelling on a same-day flight operated by
Air Canada, Air Canada Express or any Star Alliance member airline. Anyone entering the lounge under the age of majority must be accompanied by an adult.

500 Mile Minimum

Earn a minimum of 500 miles for eligible fares on flights operated by Air Canada,
Air Canada Express and Star Alliance member airlines, regardless of distance traveled. The 500 Mile Minimum applies as of the date your Altitude status is confirmed by e-mail. Flights taken prior to that date are not eligible. Will reflect the accrual factor for your flight (for instance, a fare which earns 25% of miles flown on a flight segment less than 500 miles in distance would earn 125 miles). Does not apply to flights taken in conjunction with an Unlimited Flight Pass or when the option not to earn Aeroplan Miles was selected at time of booking.

Priority Rewards

Access additional Aeroplan ClassicFlight Reward seats on flights operated by Air Canada or
Air Canada Express.

• Elite 35K, Elite 50K & Elite 75K have access to any unsold seat in Economy Class, up to aircraft capacity, in the event that Aeroplan ClassicFlight Reward Seats are no longer available. These rewards require double the amount of Aeroplan Miles as a regular Aeroplan ClassicFlight Reward.
• Super Elite 100K have access to any unsold seat in Economy Class, up to aircraft capacity, and to additional seats in Executive Class and Executive First, in the event that Aeroplan ClassicFlight Reward Seats are no longer available. These rewards require the same amount of Aeroplan Miles as a regular Aeroplan ClassicFlight Reward.

First change fee waived for Aeroplan Flight Rewards

Super Elite 100K members enjoy a waived change fee on the first change made to any Aeroplan Flight Reward reservation. For any subsequent changes made to the same reservation, the published change fee will apply. Note that this waiver does not apply when a reservation is cancelled and Aeroplan Miles are refunded to the members' account.

Super Elite 100K members can choose this Select Privilege and grant Elite 50K status to a friend for the 2013 benefit year.
